Do you have Around-the-Clock Security?
Our community takes comfort in knowing that our security staff is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Furthermore, each of our apartments is equipped with an emergency pull cord.
Tell me more about your Exceptional Dining
Each day we are treated to a continental breakfast and 2 home cooked meals prepared by our award winning culinary staff. Friends and family are welcome to join you for meals and the charge will be reflected on your monthly bill.
Do residents participate in Activities and Outings?
We have two directors dedicated to keeping you active. We begin each day with exercise and offer a packed schedule all day. Our customized van brings residents to weekly outings that are so popular we often make multiple trips.
Do residents and staff know one another? Is there A True Sense of Community?
Our 12 story building is where about 300 people call home. There is togetherness amongst residents and staff and true camaraderie within our community. Our commitment to our community is proven by the longevity of Flushing House employees.
Are we locked in to a Long-Term Lease?
No! Our private suite and studio apartments are rented on a month to month basis. Therefore your business is earned and you retain your freedom of choice.
How can I still treat myself?
Come pamper yourself in our beauty salon and barbershop. Pick up something nice at our Gift Store and visit our resident operated Specialty Shoppe.
What about Yearly Increases?
As you may have read, some senior communities have been increasing their monthly rent as much as 7% after one year. Our not-for-profit status allows us to keep our rates the lowest; in fact, our increase over 5 years is under 7% TOTAL.
What are On-site Amenities?
To better convenience our residents, we have onsite services and amenities including VIP Health Care Services, Fox Rehabilitation, TJC Health Care Services, P.C., Premier Home Health Care and Flushing Savings bank.
I hate cleaning!
This isn’t a question, but we hear it a lot, so let us take care of that. Weekly housekeeping is included for residents of FH. Vacuuming, sweeping and washing the linens will be done for you each week. Your floor is equipped with a coin operated washer and dryer for personal items
